Terms of Use

Last updated: June 10, 2026

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of cotalk, provided by Orame ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using the app you agree to these Terms.

The Service

cotalk lets you record podcast-style conversations where you speak into the microphone and AI co-hosts respond with generated text and voice, then compose those sessions into shareable episodes. We may add, change, or remove features as the product evolves.

Your Account

You must provide accurate information when creating an account and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for activity that happens under your account. You can delete your account at any time — see Account Deletion.

License

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app. You may not copy, redistribute, reverse-engineer, or resell the app except as permitted by law.

Your Content

You retain ownership of the recordings you make and the episodes you compose. You grant us a limited license to store, process, and transmit your content solely to operate the service (e.g. transcription, AI replies, episode playback, and export). We claim no ownership over your episodes.

You are responsible for your recordings — including obtaining consent from any other people whose voices appear in them, where required by the laws that apply to you.

AI-Generated Content

AI co-host replies and voices are generated automatically. AI output may be inaccurate, offensive, or misleading despite our safeguards. You are responsible for reviewing episodes before publishing them anywhere, and for how and where you publish them. You must not present AI-generated voices as real people in a way intended to deceive.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

Purchases and Subscriptions

If paid features or subscriptions are offered, pricing and billing terms are shown at the point of purchase and processed by the app store you bought them through (Apple App Store or Google Play). Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled through your store account settings at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.

Disclaimer of Warranties

The app is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Orame will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data or recordings, arising from your use of the app. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.

Termination

You may stop using the app at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these Terms. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (e.g. your content ownership, limitations of liability) will survive.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes take effect constitutes acceptance. The "Last updated" date above reflects the current version.
